Maharashtra Phase 3 Election 2024: Maharashtra Holds Key with 48 Seats Up for Grabs in Phase 3 Across 11 Constituencies

 

Get ready for an intriguing face-off in Maharashtra’s Baramati as Supriya Sule, daughter of Sharad Pawar, squares off against Sunetra Pawar, wife of Maharashtra’s deputy CM Ajit Pawar. The third phase of Lok Sabha polls kicks off, spanning 94 constituencies across 11 states and Union territories.

As the Lok Sabha election unfolds, the political arena keeps shifting, presenting both challenges and opportunities for the competing parties. This phase sees 2.09 crore eligible voters and 258 candidates vying for their support, with 23,036 polling centers in operation. Among the voters, there are 1,07,64,741 males, 1,02,26,946 females, and 929 from the third gender.

During campaigning, BJP leaders took aim at the Congress on issues like wealth redistribution and inheritance tax, accusing them of playing appeasement politics. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi reinforced Congress’ commitment to conduct a caste census and economic survey if they win power.

After this phase, voting will be complete for 283 out of 543 Lok Sabha seats. The next four phases are slated for May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1, with vote counting set for June 4.
