Yesterday IPL match: In a fiery IPL showdown at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Gujarat Giants faced off against Chennai Super Kings. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s CSK won the toss and chose to bowl against Shubman Gill’s squad in the 59th IPL match.

Gill and Sudharsan’s dynamic duo sets a challenging target of 231/3 for CSK. Gill’s blistering 104 off 55 balls, including 9 fours and 6 sixes, alongside Sudharsan’s impressive 103 off 51 balls with 5 fours and 7 sixes, led the charge.

Sudharsan also made history, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record for the fastest 1000 IPL runs by an Indian, achieving it in just 25 innings compared to Tendulkar’s 31. In his 25 matches and 21 innings, Sudharsan amassed 1034 runs at a strike rate of 139.17, solidifying his place in IPL folklore.
