PBKS, with two wins out of seven matches, won the toss and chose to bat first. With Shikhar Dhawan absent, Sam Curran led the team. He opened the batting alongside Prabhsimran Singh, who scored 35 runs off 21 balls before being dismissed. However, wickets fell regularly, with Rilee Rossouw departing after scoring 9 runs off 7 balls.

After his stint at the crease, Sam Curran headed back to the dugout. Rashid Khan secured his wicket during the eighth over of the 37th IPL match in Mohali. Curran managed to score 20 runs off 19 balls before departing. Meanwhile, Jitesh Sharma chipped in with 13 runs off 12 balls.

Unfortunately, Liam Livingstone’s promising start didn’t translate into a big score, as he was dismissed for just six runs by Noor Ahmad. Despite a brief resistance from Harpreet Brar, who scored 29 runs off 12 balls, Punjab Kings couldn’t build a substantial total. The team faced setbacks with Harshal Patel being dismissed for a golden duck, and Kagiso Rabada being the last batsman standing with just one run. Ultimately, Punjab Kings were all out for 142 runs.

Gujarat Titans’ chase got off to a solid start with their captain, Shubman Gill, scoring a steady 35 runs. However, Wriddhiman Saha was the first to leave the crease, dismissed by Arshdeep Singh in a relatively simple manner. At the end of the fourth over, Gujarat Titans were at 25/1.

In this IPL match, David Miller couldn’t quite find his rhythm and was out for just four runs. Sai Sudharsan contributed with 31 runs to the Gujarat Titans’ total. However, it was Rahul Tewatia’s unbeaten 36 off 18 balls that proved crucial, helping GT surpass PBKS with a total of 146 runs for 7 wickets in 19.1 overs. Eventually, Gujarat Titans sealed the victory by three wickets in a close match.
